In the Central Valley, white winters consist of frosty mornings with Tule fog wrapping around ancient oak trees that dot the landscape. The fields are brown, roadsides are lined with skeletal orchards, and the vineyards are sleeping, waiting for a shot of green. 

When the days shorten and the remainder of the natural world goes into hibernation, we know your hankering for fresh fruits and vegetables doesn’t go away just because the weather is colder. Luckily, the Visalia Farmers Market is open year round, rain or shine, and you can count on our weekly markets to stock up on fresh, local winter produce, nuts, eggs and cheeses.
From hearty root vegetables to bright, sweet citrus, there is a surprisingly great range of winter produce available in a wide range of flavors!
