Community Group Information

The Visalia Farmers Market Association allows non-profit organizations and community information groups to have space at the Market.
All interested parties requesting such a space must apply and be approved by the VFMA Board of Directors. Approved groups are allowed to participate FREE of charge at Visalia Farmers Markets on a once per market day (Th. and Sat.) basis and contingent on pre-approval.
Participation dates at market are to be coordinated with the Market Manager and space will be assigned on the day of market by the market manager.
Groups may also be required to provide liability insurance in the amount of $1 million naming the Visalia Farmers Market Association and City of Visalia as additional insured when appropriate and requested by the Management or Board of Directors.
Resell of items, approved by the board of directors, related to or in support of a participating organization for fund raising purposes, is permitted. Health permits may be required for food related items.
Rules that groups or individuals must follow while present at a Visalia Farmers Market are as follows:
  • Individuals or groups may not interfere with Market operations by aggressively soliciting signatures, donations or attention. Such activities may not block sidewalks or access to assigned seller stall spaces.
  • All individuals or groups must stay behind their tables or displays. At no time may representatives walk through the Market handing out information.
  • Individuals or groups must accept the spaces assigned to them by the Market Manager.
  • Each organization or individual must prominently display its name, bring their own tables and chairs and must comply with all applicable Market rules.
  • One stall space is 10’ by 10”.
  • The Market retains the right to regulate the time, place and manner of activities relating to displays, signs, posters, placards and other expressions of the interests represented.
  • Any fundraising must be approved in advance by the Market Manager, via e-mail at info@visaliafarmersmarket.com

Set up time for Thursday market is 4pm

Set up time for Saturday market is 7am


The Board of Directors has authorized the Market Manager to enforce the above rules. Violation could mean expulsion from the Market. The Market cannot endorse the opinions or positions of any group or individual and does not allow religious or political groups.
