Olive tapenade is a popular food that originates from ancient Rome, and is now popular in French and Italian cuisines. Olive tapenade is generally eaten as an hors d’oeuvre and spread on bread, but it is also used to stuff poultry, mix in a salad dressing, use as a sandwich spread, or even toss in a pasta dish!

3 cloves garlic
1 cup pitted olives
2 tablespoons capers
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Place the garlic cloves into a blender or food processor; pulse to mince. Add the olives, capers, parsley, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until everything is finely chopped. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
