Fresh Stone Fruit Souffle

Recipe submitted by Georgie Amon from Tulare for the 1989 Visalia Farmers Market Harvest Handbook

Ingredients:

1 quart sliced peaches, plums or any other fresh fruit

1/2 cup butter

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

3 teaspoons baking powder

How to Make:

Heat fruit and butter until hot in oven at 375 degrees in a baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, milk and baking powder and pour over the fruit. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
